OK, I’ll deal with my own disbelief on how fast this year has gone in my own time, but for now I want to extend early Holiday Wishes to any/everyone who reads this blog or receives our Firegrill Newsletter (if you aren’t a subscriber, you’re missing out on weekly deals).

I will be posting our holiday hours shortly, but for now I wanted to remind you that if you are planning on having New Year’s Eve dinner at Fiesta, please book a table as soon as you know your details. In years past we fill up so quickly in the last few days that it is sometimes hard to find room for our guests, and have even turned people away.

We’ll be having Prime Rib, Lobster Tails with hot drawn butter, and some of our regular fare on our special New Year’s Eve menu.

Thanks for stopping by. We’ve had a great couple weeks celebrating our 100th year of service here at Fiesta. All the events we hosted were near-flawless and I am so appreciative of EVERYONE’S support during these celebrations. We had lots of great musicians come out to adorn us with their musical talents, gift baskets and treats and goodies sent here, cards have come in the mail, and the list goes on.

Our most recent event, the Business Social, was a great time with lots of local entrepreneurs out to support us. Also in attendance were councillors Jeff Wesley and Sheldon Parsons, and CK Mayor Randy Hope.

A special thanks to my staff who put in some hours/shifts/tasks that were a little different from the norm and to my mother who helped out tremendously, even while injured, making sure everything was in order.

I hope all those that attended any of our events had a great time – your presence was appreciated immensely.

I got a little teary-eyed and choked up after accepting a certificate from the Mayor at our Business Social. It wasn’t until that moment that I realized I had reached my five year goal of running the restaurant past the 100 year marker. I have so many people to thank, but…if you’re here reading this now, you have contributed to making this venture a success.

James here. Owner of Fiesta Restaurant. September centennial celebrations will kick off starting Tuesday nights, 5-9pm. Our fan-favourite Perch or Pickerel Dinners will be on special for only $12.50. We are also hosting a radio Dining Tour on September 22nd from 7-10am and will have Live music on Friday Sept. 23rd from 6-9pm. There’s more celebration specials in the works so keep checking back.

This coming Friday, July 22, is the third installment of the Wallaceburg Culture Crawl.
We will be featuring next week’s CKXS Spotlight singer Al Helsdon from Gaslight Alley
during the evening playing live acoustic tunes for you to enjoy.

Further details coming soon – just thought you should know what’s on the horizon.

The first day they were available was Thursday and we were given an early indication that you are all craving a nice fresh twist to liven your taste buds.

Our Mangoberry Salad has fresh sliced mango and strawberries, blueberries, chopped cucumber and red onion, mandarin oranges and feta cheese all atop a bed of fresh, crisp romaine. Served with raspberry vinaigrette on the side.

ALSO, we launched a new trial sandwich this week that featured grilled pear and sliced ham, carmalized onion and provolone cheese on grilled rye bread. We will keep this sandwich on for another week or two so try one out, give us your feedback, and maybe you’ll see it on our next menu.

Did you know we sell Greek Gyros? They make a great lunch or can be eaten as a dinner entree as well. You won’t find them on the menu, so ask your server for this secret selection.
